Bassam Alomar
Dr. Bassam Alomar is a Pediatric Emergency Consultant, clinical innovator, and emerging leader in applied clinical artificial intelligence and digital health transformation. He combines around a decade of frontline pediatric emergency medicine experience with advanced training in Health Informatics and Applied Clinical AI from McGill University and The Hospital for Sick Children (SickKids)/University of Toronto.
Dr. Alomar has led and participated in multiple initiatives focused on healthcare digitalization, predictive analytics, and AI-enabled clinical workflows, while championing the importance of data quality, governance, and ethical AI adoption in medicine.
His work bridges the gap between clinical medicine and emerging technologies, with a focus on translating AI concepts into practical, safe, and impactful solutions for frontline healthcare.

Michael Bravo
Dr. Michael Bravo is a Pediatric Emergency Medicine physician at The Hospital for Sick Children and a Paediatrician at Humber River Hospital with a strong interest in clinical AI and health informatics. He is an Assistant Professor at the University of Toronto and recently completed an Executive Master of Informatics at UofT. He is passionate about leveraging emerging technologies to improve pediatric care delivery, streamline clinical workflows, and support medical education.
2025 - 2026
Keren Shahar-Nissan
Dr. Keren Shahar-Nissan is a staff physician and Lead of Medical Innovation in the Department of Pediatric Emergency Medicine at Schneider Children’s Medical Center of Israel. After graduating from the Hebrew University of Jerusalem and completing her Pediatrics and Pediatric Emergency Medicine training in Israel, she joined the Division of Pediatric Emergency Medicine at The Hospital for Sick Children in Toronto for advanced fellowship training.
After completing a Point-of-Care Ultrasound fellowship in her first year, Dr. Shahar-Nissan completed the IDEAS Fellowship in 2025–2026, where she focused on the application of artificial intelligence and human-centered design to empower children and caregivers, strengthen communication and engagement throughout the healthcare journey, and create safer, more supportive healthcare experiences.

Sevag Tachejian
Dr. Tachejian is currently a paediatric emergency medicine specialist at the CHU Sainte-Justine in Montreal, Québec. After completing his medical school at the Université de Montréal, Dr. Tachejian completed his paediatrics training at the CHU Sainte-Justine in Montreal, prior to joining the PEM division in Toronto for his subspeciality training and transition to practice. His main academic interest focuses on the integration of emerging technologies in medical curriculums. Dr. Tachejian completed his IDEAS fellowship in 2025-2026 with a focus on leveraging artificial intelligence (AI) to enhance the quality of paediatric resuscitation care.
